Last year was a great outing, so I now have a trackside site on turn 13. If anyone is in the area. come on by!
On my first trip to Sebring, aircraft were parked on the back straight. Few facilities, and an old hangar for a garage area.
This has become an annual outing to meet up with my oldest son Mark (Tampa), and middle son Scott (Apopka). Brian will be in school.
Unfortunately, I will have to visit Panera Bread several times, as work still interferes with camping.
I did build a 4X8 plywood platform for the back of the Outback, with curved bracing maching the roof trusses so we can get a really good view.
Photos soon.
For the racing fans, Sebring has become "practice" for the 24 Hours of LeMans in France, so there will be new cars from Audi, Acura, Peugeot (they were the fastest last year) Aston Martin, Ferrari, BMW and Porsche. Both the Audi's and Peugeots are diesels!
Headed down Wednesday the 18th, back on Sunday.

Leon,
I am taking a good camera (Linda's Canon digital) as she has a new Nikon N90 (which I do not get to use!).
With the tripod set up on the rear push-out I should have some action photos if it doesn't rain too much.
I am taking some pics of the rear platform tonight, which I will post.

So Dave, how was Sebring? Get any good pictures, and we want to see the mod you did with the plywood.
