Well tomorrow is the big day. We are having a concrete pouring party at my house in the morning around 8:00am. They are going to pour around 14 yards total. Here are a few pictures of the before the pour. I will have some pictures of after the pour tomorrow. The pad for the camper will be located in front of the storage building and will be 16'x37'. I am making the driveway a little longer with a 12'x32' extention from the garage to the side of the driveway and a 8'x15' addition on the side of the driveway for extra parking. All of this will be tied altogether in one big pour.

So, when do you build the shelter to park it under? I'm sure Margaret appreciates me making THIS suggestion...

Are you needing me to come help with that concrete? Better yet....I'll come and manage the whole job, and you can just sit back and relax.

Well Nick, I am going to start on it right after the concrete sits. No since stopping now. A friend of mine who builds houses is coming over to look at what I need and get some measurements to order the materials. As for Margaret, she is really happy we are finally getting this done so she does not have to maneuver around a camper and truck to get out of the garage.

Gilligan, I've done Ok so far on the supervising job but come on over. You can not be in charge but you can watch and see how it is done so maybe you will be able to work on Lamar's driveway when he works on his.

That is very nice Leon! Do you have a 30 amp plug in? If not, you might as well trench a powe line before you start the clean up.

you might as well go all the way and dig a hole large enough to hold 3 tons of gravel and four 55 gal. plastic drums. this will make a perfect septic tank so you can dump when you get home.

I have done this and you can dump all three tanks even if they are full. you have a clean dry place to dump, and It is so nice not to have to wait in line at the dump station.

don`t forget the fresh water supply. now you have a full hook up camp site that is perfect for when you have a house full of company.

Jon, planning on a 50 amp plug and lights in the shelter and storage building. Clayton, you are reading my mine. That is in the plans.

Leon,

You should put in a couple of hookups. Party at Leon and Margaret's house!

And don't forget...
The more concrete you put down, the less grass to mow. :D

I'm scared to pour anymore because the helicopters from Ft Rucker might mistake it for a runway.

With the drought conditions it would be helpful for us to drain our Gray Water Tanks on your lawn, wouldn't it?

Well here is the final product. It is wired with a 50 amp plugin. Thanks Lamar for putting me onto that carport company in GA. They did a great job.
