I will start with an easy and simple mod I did. I was tired of climbing under the Outback to drain the freshwater tank.

So, I devised a drain that would let me drain it from the side with just a little bending over.

Use 1/2 " PVC fittings and pipe. (Best to use the schedule 80 stuff-thicker). The tank drain will just screw out and you replace it with a threaded 1/2" 90 deg elbow.

I used a block of wood, attached it to the frame with sheet metal screws, then used a 3/4" conduit clamp to hold the pipe near the valve. You may have to mod that brace to fit your own needs.

KEEP the old drain valve just in case road debris hits the PVC and breaks it. My stabilizer jack protects mine since it sits right in front of the valve.

The blue plug just keeps dirt out of the valve, no other function.

Time: 30 minutes tops.

I like this. I am going to do this one on our camper. I have noticed other campers coming from the factory with drains like this. What's the problem with you Keystone.

P.S. I like the firewood in the milk crates also. Good idea. Easy to load and unload.

I did not even think about those crates being in the photo. I guess I killed the 2 birds with one stone.
They DO make it so easy to haul wood. I just sit them in the bed of the truck.

And no, the John Deere is not my T/V.

THAT is a good-looking mod. I rarely use my fresh water tank, except to provide some emergency flush water but I do crawl under there twice a year. Once in the Fall, to drain the water and once in the Spring to close the valve and add water.

Good looking mod! Something I'll have to consider, even though we never have to drain the tank for winterizing. One of the perks of living in Florida!
