We made it. Drove 569 miles and we're a little over half way. Pulled into the CG around 5:45. We'll do the second leg tomorrow.

Just wanted to let everybody know, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT. It makes a 1000 mile trip very easy when you know what's waiting for ya. Can't wait for the Fall rally.

thanks again, Kevin & Kathy

We took our niece and her husband to Campers World in Saint Augustine today. They are newbies and we are helping them to get started. Anyway, we saw 6 Outbacks on the interstate (I-95)today!
Is that a new worlds record?! LOL! Could it be that bunches of y'all from the Summer Rally were heading home? We saw a Northbound Outback near the FL welcome center at 1:09 PM, another northbound Outback near the 9A exit at 1:22 PM, another Northbound at exit 329 at 1:50PM, then one more northbound at 1:55 PM. On our return northbound trip, we had two more sightings. One Southbound Outback just north of St. Augustine at 4:10PM. We stopped at Olive Garden to eat and then got back on I-95 north. Just south of the FL/GA line, we saw another southbound Outback at 6:48PM. I sure hope the two heading south weren't some of y'all that forgot something and had to turn around!

Well as always, it was great! Thanks to everyone who worked to make this so enjoyable! Even though we only got to go for two nights-it turned out to be the best two nights! It was great to see everyone we knew, and we made some new friends too! :D

We are signing up for next year much earlier! LOL!

Sorry we didn't get to say goodbye before we left, but we had a sick one to tend to, and another one by that evening. Both are recovering quickly though.

Thanks for everything!

We are home safe and sound. Got most of the truck and trailer unloaded already and we will clean it next week. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!! The food was absolutely awesome!! Thanks Billy - you continue to out-do yourself.

Can't wait to see everyone again. The Fall Rally seems so far away and how will we ever fit in getting to talk to everyone in just one weekend. There is going to be a good crowd.

We made it back too. Stopped just inside the Alabama state line on I20 at Heflin, campground called Cain9 Campground. Fine overnight place. Home now after a short ride today. 660 miles one way but very worth it. Another succesfull rally, great seeing everyone, it doesn't get much better.

We were on I95 north that day, but we wouldn't have been north of I10. I saw a couple of Outback going south too......

If I didn't have bad luck I would not have any luck at all. On the way back home, on I-10 just 30 miles before I would get off the interstate, there was a small trailer on fire in the west bound lanes. Had traffic backed up for at least 5 miles. Held us up for about 45 minutes. When we stopped for the last pit stop I noticed another trailer tire with a knot. This one was small so I just nursed it the rest of the way, only about 40 miles. I am taking all of those tires back to my tire man and tell him I do not want any more Chinese tires on my camper. I want American made.

We had a great time, as usual. Great food, great friends, great drinks, and a great time. Lamar, you and Carmen are going to have to just sit back and relax and let the rest of us do things for a while. You should not be doing all the work yourself. It is time you yall to have some fun.

HOME, 1087 miles later. Got in today about 6:30pm. Yes it's the best 1087 miles we drive. We did have one close call about 40 miles from home. We were following another older fiver and air must have gotten under the front cap. The front 1/3 of the side shredded off and things flew everywhere. So until the Fall rally have safe travels and lots of fun.

Carmen, you and Lamar are the ones who outdid your selves. Yall deserve major kudos! That was a wonderful rally. The lighthouse was great, the beach was awesome and the time spent with fellow campers was off the scale as usual.

I do hope yall get some much deserved rest!

Even though I was recovering from ETOH toxicity, courtesy of Clayton's generosity and Tony's insistence (Peer Pressure), the Bushwhackers provided by Margaret and Leon at their Farewell soiree were absolutely impossible to resist and went down smoothly. That was an awesome finish!

Just before we left the kids had to have one more run at the Fish Tacos! My goodness those were yummy!!!

We got back with no problems. We even went through a serious storm that cleaned the Anastasia tree gunk off of the truck and camper. Been unloading and we are still killing spiders! I must say the gunk was a small price to pay for such wonderfully shaded camp sites.

It was great seeing everyone.

Looking forward to cooler camping in the fall.

Take care,
Billy and Margaret

Glad everyone is making it home safe and sound.

Did anyone see any good deals on OUTBACKS while on vacation?

Leon bring some of those drinks in June sounds too good.

I agree Lamar and Carmen do a FANTASTIC job at these rallys. Ie whatever they do/
See all in the Fall

Thanks Jerry & all. Strawberry lime margaritas sure do go down easy = yum. Put those on your list for me. I think they may be my new fav (even if I did hurl later).

Btw, there weren't any things taken or stolen the entire week. Wonder what that's about? :whistling:
