Phil's not coming because the Air Force will be moving him next June or July and none of the others up here can come either. We are the lone wolfs from above the NC line.

We will leave on Friday and stop somewhere between here and there. I'd like to get to GA or the far side of SC so that the 2nd day will be short. This will be a much shorter trip for you Kevin. Two overnights should do it. If you want to caravan, let me know. Get to Richmond VA and we'll meet up on 95. There's safety in numbers when traveling.

The state park Lamar is talking about is called High Falls State Park. This is the park I use when coming down from the north and can not make it back home before dark or when we are heading north and it takes us two days to travel. It is a great park for overnight. There is a Flying J just up the road and just a few miles from McDonough, GA where Lamar lives.

The Mason–Dixon Line (or "Mason and Dixon's Line") was surveyed between 1763 and 1767 by Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon in the resolution of a border dispute between British colonies in Colonial America. It forms a demarcation line among four U.S. states, forming part of the borders of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia (then part of Virginia). In popular usage, especially since the Missouri Compromise of 1820 (apparently the first official use of the term "Mason's and Dixon's Line"), the Mason-Dixon Line symbolizes a cultural boundary between the Northern United States and the Southern United States
