Well, I did a few mods at the house that are designed to make my life easier, and help with storing the 5'er.

I got this first idea from Brent (Wolfpackers) when I posted a question asking what everyone did with their hitch when they weren't camping. I have a Signature Series Reese 18K, which isn't exactly the lightest thing to lift in and out of the bed. Brent stepped up and showed me the wench he bought and mounted to his garage ceiling. So...... a trip to Harbor Freight and here you go. I must admit, it works great!!!

The next project was a parking pad for the Outback. The area beside the house where we park is not very level. I was concerned I was stressing the slide outs when they were extended for loading and unloading purposes. Also, the 5'er is so heavy it was beginning to sink into the ground. So, several 4x4 timbers, 3 tons of rock and about 10 pieces of re barb hammered into the ground and you have a parking pad. I eventually plan on getting 30 amp service installed, that is if I can ever get an electrician to come out here. So, it's not the "Cassa De Crawfish" built at Leon & Margaret's, but I guess it'll do.....

Hey I'll take anything I can........ Send him on over!

Rev,

That "sculpture" cost me a thousand dollars paid to the attorney who handled my divorce. That's my little buddy, though! Worth every penny..................... I think

Good job Mike. The pad looks great. When I started the electrical work I called Tommy to ask a few question because I wanted to get it right the first time. He helped me a lot and kelp me from making a mistake I was going to make. He knows his stuff.

You know.........................me.....................................electricity.
..............................................we're not really friends! I appreciate the suggestion, but I think I'll pay someone more familiar with the topic. Now if you or Tommy are willing to travel.......... :whistling:
