Unfortunately, nobody could make it so I had to have my own festival. Of course, mine only involved Diet Coke and Gatorade. No hangover that I can detect but also about as interesting as watching a Congressional Budget Speech.

A Meatpie Festival has it's allure, for sure.

Here is one of my favorites...

Wurst Week Ever

I have been twice and can attest that those Texans of German descent know how to party and play the Chicken Dance. I remember laying in the grass next to the river trying to get visions of tanked-up Teutonic Cougar-Wannabes dressed in Liederhosen dancing to never-ending Tuba music out of my skull. The beer was nice though.

The Meatpie Festival has to be experienced. My personal fave is the beef, sweet potato and roasted poblano Meatpie. Of course the crawfish pie runs a close second.
