Just wanted to remind everyone that the Atlanta Camping and RV Show is this weekend. We probably won't be able to make this one tho.

HA! A new camper? Don't I wish! I've been searching everywhere for something used with a slide out for the kids room. Our neighbors have one for sale but they want just about as much for it as a new one. Need to trade up! (well, need the money for it too

Amen to that! We were stuck in ours last week during some rain and decided to go visit Leon & Margaret. What a difference! We had like 6 people in there and we weren't cramped! Guess that's how it is when you have the big bucks.

My wife Lee and I went to this RV show. We were looking for cool accessories for our TT but we were very disappointed that there was really nothing there but campers. Is this typical for RV camping shows? We are very new to this lifestyle.

Glenn, I have also been to the Atlanta show several times. The only things I have seen at shows are camper dealerships and booths on campgrounds all over the southeast. Some time there are a few booths selling camping stuff but not very many. This is one thing I can not understand, because it would be a great opportunity for companies to come in and display there merchandise. We are planning on attending the Atlanta show that will be help at the Atlanta Motor Speedway next year. I can't remember when it is but maybe Lamar or Carmen will jump in and tell us. Come and join us if you can.

hey glenn,
the show has went down from 10 dealers to only 5 now.
not sure if they went out of business or not.
as leon said i wish they would sell more stuff for campers .
i have a camper , i need more junk.
maybe the show in january and the one in april may be better.

I've been sayin that same thing for years. The message I would like to get to them (the show) is "We already have a camper, we want to look at the stuff that goes along with it" like dutch ovens, grilling, cooking, folding chairs, picnic stuff, hammocks, tire pressure monitors, bikes/scooters, small boats, kayaks, pop-up awnings, generators, camper shaped personalized signs, etc." I guess they can't get the vendors there or interested - much less the space. Whew! Now you know why we have so much junk.
The one at the Atl Motor Speedway used to have more vendors (some are camping related, some are not). I liked it better because the campers are outside with awnings out and such and you can stand back and get a better idea of what they're really like.
