My Equalizer has had a "rocking" L bracket for a while. The bracket will rotate on the single setscrew and move about 1/4 inch in each direction.
My previous calls to Progress resulted in "buy a new L bracket" since the passenger side was OK.
Last month, I found out that the L bracket and outer mounting plate has been re-designed with two through bolts in place of the single setscrew and when tightened down, the L bracket will not move.
Wow, what a difference after I installed new L brackets and plates ($99 for owners of Equalizers). Rock steady, as any movement of the bracket does not provide damping until the bracket stops.
No pictures as it is too cold to even go outside tonight. I will post later, but one can see it on the Equalizer/Progress web site. A the new Equalizers have this mod.
Highly recommended if you need the best performance from your hitch. Those with Duallys will never notice, but the Durango needs all the help it can get as I cannot get 17" LT tires in the correct size.
Check it out!

Dave
