We got the chance to meet the wonderful Valentine family (aka: BritsOnTour) as they passed through on the way to NOLA. Incredible folks. I wish they could do a rally with us sometime in the future. My motivation? Outside of enjoying the company of the Valentines I want to see Lamar's face when he gazes upon the Mods that have been done to this Outback.

Lamar, you have got to see what Dave has done, you will so have major Mod envy. I will not go into details as I have been sworn to secrecy by the Crown itself. Suffice it to say that I believe Dave has a real "sonic screwdriver". Just incredible workmanship on the Outback.

Anyway best of luck to the Valentines in their continuing sojourn across the states.

Lamar please start working on them for a Rally in the future.

I agree, we have to get them to one of our rallies. Will work on it this year. They are full-timing right? Billy, now you know we are going to bug you until you spill the beans, so come on and spit it out.

LOL! You are sweet Billy, Dave and Jake really enjoyed the sausage you gave them tonight - the gumbo's still waiting in the freezer.

It was great to meet you and the kids, thanks for driving out to see us as we 'flew' through. We grilled shrimp from the seafood place next door to the state park yesterday - very good recommendation. Really yummy beignets in the city too, we're really enjoying this week.

As to the mods.....Dave's a star, he likes to fix things: no space for the toilet roll holder, create something, towel holder, create, washer/dryer, cut things up to make it fit....we are living VERY comfortably in our Outback for this year, space enough for curriculum, toys, clothes and 'stuff' for 6 people!

Of course, we'd love to come to a rally one day, right now we're moving pretty speedily across the country, looking forward to San Antonio in a couple of weeks and then to Big Bend over Presidents w/e - so much to do and see, so little time!

Thanks to everyone for the great advice while we've been enjoying the beautiful south east, Ali
