On our way back at our last stop we pulled into a yogi and got a really un-level site. We were a little lazy and did not level it as best as we could have. Anyway when we went to push in the rear slide the slide popped out of the cieling bracket. We were able to get one back in but the other we had to brace and hope that the slide did not come loose as we were making it home. What I learned was that there is a kinda bolt that hangs from the slide rail in the cieling. That bolt pops into a plastic fitting that is covered on the outside with metal. U would not notice the plastic without taking the two bolts that hold the part that attaches to the slide off and pulling that bracket out. I noticed the plastic looked worn and would not hold the weight of the slide. We tried a couple of things that did not work so we braced it. We also tried a few dealers where were locally and they gave me the run around. I called my dealer and he is ordering me four new brackets. Two for replacing and two for keeping in case it happens again. The part is under six dollars a piece. It looked poorly made but we also put alot of miles on our tt and Im sure all the bouncing caused the plastic to fatigue. I also know that there is a few of us that have that rear slide configuration. I will post pics next week when the part comes in but I do not want to touch the slide until I can replace the part. I will also post pics when I replace the part. I know it sounds kinda confusing. I also posted on the dark side to see if anyone else has had that problem

Btw it was great to see everyone.

Mike the design of the rear slide has always bugged me, at least the parts that hold it in place!. I have often wondered how much of the weight of the rear slide is supported by the rail system, both inside and out.

I am just glad you guys were able to get it back in securely so you could travel.

Please keep us posted on that one.
