One of the nice things about having access to a forum is having the ability to draw attention where attention is due. So, here goes...
Last night we were getting ready to eat and I had the opportunity to say a few words. I said a few things about website finances and marveled at our crowd. What I completely forgot to do was talk about the real driving force behind our site. No group can exist without someone willing to step in and take the responsibility of the day-to-day work that keeps things moving. All I did was get the ingredients in one place. Leon and Margret Cordle are the chefs that knew how to mix it just right. Like a great chef they sweat the details so we never have to see the hard work it takes to keep the delicious results on your table.
It isn' just the web site that depends upon them. Without Leon and Margret the Fall rally would have felt different. Leon and Margret arrived early and instantly started scoping things out, looking at reservations, planning for details like site selection, event location, and a hundred other things that we never see. He developed a relationship with the Management of the campsite which gave us some pull with all the staff. When we took over the racetrack it was Leon that got on the phone and scored us a 20% reduction on the group rate.
Without people like Leon and Margret our group would feel much less complete and not near enough fun. Thank you for what you do for us.

When we arrived, we expected to discuss site selection with the management. However, as soon as I mentioned it, he said we had already been moved so that we would be with the group. Evidently, Leon and Margaret were involved. I didn't know that. Thanks Leon and Margaret! We had a great time and met so many wonderful people!

Bravo-Zulu to Leon and Margaret! (A little Naval lingo there)
They have done so much in building up this little group we have, and amazingly even put up with me.

Leon is the "dude" but knowing him, I think he is humble and doesn't thrive on the recognition. He just does what needs to be done. There are a lot of details that go into putting a rally together. Lamar and I fret with the details a lot. And, I think people look to Leon & Lamar a lot for where and when the next rally is to be. Soooo, in saying that WE WANT YOU GUYS TO CHOOSE so please start speaking up for your preferences for next year - Spring, late Summer, Fall.

Thanks to all of you, but this group works together like a well oiled machine. If one part goes bad the rest will come together and fix that part. This machine has spuddered a few times while traveling down the road but we have fixed it every time. I am just proud and honored to be part of this wonderful experience.

Thanks to: Leon & Margaret, Lamar & Carmen, Nick and everyone else who had a hand in making the rallies so much fun and taking on the work and responsibilities of picking out locations and setting everything up for the rest of us including this website. We couldn't have nearly as much fun without you guys.
You may not hear it enough but "We really do appreciate all you guys do"
Thanks a bunch
