I like the clear stuff too. That may be why I still have some brown stuff.

I really wanted to head up to raccoon today, but the significant other told me I wanted otherwise..something about this being a family trip...... I just figured she, and they, could follow me up the next day. I'm just sitting in the office, working, looking out the window, thinking about this weekend and why I'm here. I really need to get away. Is there a spot open tonight, maybe I could sneak away in the camper????? Did I say I was ready to be there? Should be there tomorow around 2:30, but, in a way, I'm aready there.

Well I'm really looking forward to seeing all of you lunatics again, (I still haven't figured out why) :whistling:, but I am!

Put us down for southwestern chili and whatever else we can find that does not manage to crawl away, (Lamar, etc. not included, they have their own transport).

See you on Fri.

[Question for Slinshot.

We are at Racoon mtn and we have a armadillo walking through the campground you have any idea how we can kill this thing? Pitch fork?

ps Leon put me up to this

Ok guys just rub it in.Wish we could have been there also. We have not been camping this year. I could write a book on what can happen, will happen and it has. This has been one sporty ride for us this year!!! Some bitter, some sweet, but guess what? We have made it for the most part.

Now on to the armadillo. Jerry I am so proud of you for thinking of your fellow campers with a wild armadillo on the loose! But the best advice I can give you is ,Leave It to a professional or it could turn ugly in a hurry!!! I don't think you or Leon falls under that title... But if Kevin was there with his new bionic shoulder he could be the pitch fork handler and use Kathy as his backup!!! Now keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Jerry,You are such a nice guy, when are you going to stop letting people put you up to these naughty deeds? LOL (Leon)

Ya'll really are making us miss all the fun!! Take care and tell all hello.

Jerry my mom always told me I hung out with the wrong crowd when I was younger. So I got away from that crowd and nothing changed. LOL

Omigosh! It was a little chilly but we really had a great time! The rain on Friday about dampened our spirits but we made the very best of it by visiting the town of S. Pittsburg at the Lodge Outlet, Hammer's General Store, and lunch at the Dixie Freeze. We had some awesome fires thanks to Leon for having the firewood delivered and Clayton for keeping it roaring. Great food, great times, great people!!! What else can I say?

Here is a link to some of our pictures (these are on FB but open to the public for the time being - will be changing that later so look quick).

Hi all, great pictures and what a great rally! It was good seeing everyone again and meeting some new people. Learned some new ways to drink alcohol, and some new finger jesters from Carmen.

I have a bunch of pictures I’ll post once I process them in.

I ended up with two items that don’t belong to us;
  • An Outback flag that was left by the fire on Thursday night. I put it in our camper to keep it from getting wet, and there it sits. I’ll bring it to the next rally.
  • A black Police SWAT van that was in the grass by the fire when we left. It’s a nice vehicle, except that it’s about 1 inch tall so I don’t fit in it.

Also, I’d like to fess up to my only sneaky thing I did the entire time, I silly stringed Jerry’s camper. I would have fess’ed up that night but Jerry was so darn mad, no…. furious, I thought it best to keep my mouth shut. It wasn’t planned, but after what, 5 (or 12, I don’t remember) tequila shooters it sure seemed like a good idea at the time. It was brilliantly executed. No one, not even Susan, knew I did it. She hit me more times than I can count when I told her…….

I thought it a pretty harmless gag on a great guy, but apparently I crossed a line. Not that Jerry doesn’t deserve it, but the last thing I wanted was to spoil a night camping for a fellow camper, and for that I truly apologize.

Jerry, I’m sorry. You owe me one.

Denise, you had to clean it up and live with him that night, I’m sorry to you as well.

And it’s with this that I vowed to keep my hands in my pockets when those evil thoughts come to mind. I’ll stick to trash, stoking the wood (fire) and drinking, not necessary in that order.

Clayton, keep the Outback flag and fly it proud! We don't need it anymore and was passing it along but I don't remember who we gave it to. We ended up with someone's sunglasses and lots of miscellaneous food and paper items. I can't say enough what a great time we had. I laughed until my cheeks and stomach muscles hurt. "You don't have to call me Darling, Darling . . . " and many more. I have lots of "Carme-nisms" - you have only begun to learn grasshopper. lol Sorry but I loved the prank Jerry - ya know what they say - round and round. I'm good at quick comebacks but not pulling gags.

Clayton, Too many Jello shooters? Cindy said, "Oh, that's right, blame the new girl"......

We all have done that joke that did not work quite like we planned. Jerry will lick his wounds and heal.....

Cindy said she had a blast, and I know I did. See all you guys at the next rally!!!

To everyone that participated in or heard about the wild bacchanalia in the CampingNut trailer on Friday night, Good News! If my experience is an indicator, our livers are making great strides towards normal size and function. I expect full liver function to resume by Thanksgiving (hopefully). You know it's a great party when KD is doing shots...

it was never my plans to run off to the camper.... you just have to use the restroom after that many drinks.
when i came out i saw all these people... we'll as you could see i could no longer walk as normal.

so i sat down and started passing the bottle.. and as we all know now, the rest is history.
im glad we and all others had a great time. that was the best time i have had in many years.

maybe we can outdo ourselves at the beach next summer..

For the peeps that aren't also on Facebook, here is another suggestion out there:

Little Mountain on Lake Gunthersville in Langston, AL
http://rvcampresort....lemountain.aspx

How about Stone Mountain?? Some of the sites were refurbished but I think some are still a little rough but it is a great place to visit. Lots and lots to do.

Others? Leon & Lamar had been researching a few others also so maybe they'll chime in
-OR-
we can always have more than one Fall Rally!! Just because everyone can't attend doesn't mean it doesn't call for a gathering.

We would love to make it to Boone, NC but it is at least a 6-hr drive for us and that just isn't feasible for just a weekend. Austin will be a senior next year so missing school isn't an option (school is out a week in Sept tho). Not to mention, that we probably wouldn't be able to get off work. If everyone decides to go there, we'll see what we can do but . . .
