I am as happy as a Pig in Mud, we are finally going on our first trip. We took the "new to us" Outback on a local shake down in Gulf Shores a few weeks back and had a great time. Now it is time to head NE to Demopolis for a few days and meet up with my parents for some good times together. Camping, Eating, Crappie Fishing and ice tea, can't wait... Foscue Creek Campgounds, anyone been there? YeeHaaa

I have never been there, but I love COE campgrounds. Will have to check it out one day. I have added it to the "Recommended Campgrounds". Have fun and catch a crappie for me.

Foscue is a very nice COE. park. it is one of the few COE. park that have full hook ups. sites 49, 50, 51 and 52 are all on the main river. the rest of the water front sites are on the slough off the river. the park is close to town and only 5 Min. from a Wal-mart.

http://www.sam.usace...kcampground.htm
this site should give you a page with pictures of every site at Foscue.
Just click on any site and it will show a picture of that site.

We had a great trip and all went well. Foscue creek is a super nice campground and the attendants couldn't be better. The fishing was slow due to all of the rain (river water high) and storms last week, but we were lucky enough to miss the bad weather as it rolled through the day before we left home. We had no problems with the Outback or the TV. The only down side is that we had to leave yesterday and back to work today, but I'm already planning the next trip....

Glad you liked Foscue. that is one of the COE. parks we like the best.
Did you check out the marina, and any of the old houses near downtown?

Update, We were back home/work for one day and found out that my Wife's Grandmother had a stroke. Since the Outback was still loaded, we hooked up and pulled it 200 miles north to Chilton County. It was nice to have our own space to crash without putting a extra burden on other family members. In the coming days/weeks we know we will be headed back to Chilton, but I'm happy that my bride had this Easter weekend to spend quality time with her family. The Outback and TV had no issues, ended up being a great trip...

Wayne, our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and your wife's grandmother. We are praying for a quick and full recovery. My mother was in rehab after her stroke about 3 years ago and I pulled the camper up to Montgomery to stay in while she was up there. It made things a lot easier and more comfortable for me. It was good your camper was still loaded and ready to go. Keep us updated on your wife's grandmother.
