I guess we must be fussy campers because we were not happy with our shower. We got the Oxygenetics shower head, but it wouldn't stay put and you couldn't adjust it where you wanted it. So, I started the 2nd shower mod. Here is the result. I can move the head up into the skylight area to give me room and my vertically challanged DW can move it down for her.

Here's how I mounted it. Lowes was kind enough to supply me with all of the hardware and fittings that I needed! Of course, they expected payment!

Clamped the pipe to the shower wall.

The faucet assembly was turned upside down so I could remove the hose adapter and connect adapters, pipe and ball valve.

When we travel, I will lower the shower head so there is no stress from bouncing down the road. We are now happy campers that smell good! :D :ibbanana: :mrcool:

Be careful Leon. Margaret might insist that you do the same!

WOW You are FUSSY!!!

:) But I love it!!!! Awesome mod!! I put an adapter piece on our oxygenetic to make it stay put.......... but that is just Awesome!!!!

If my 6'4 frame would allow that between my head and skylight ..... I would do that exactly .........

I may have to do something similar as we use our shower almost exclusively (occasional bath house) and i like to be comfortable :)

Joe, I noticed your valve assy has no tub nozzle. Mine does. So it would look awkward upside down.

Another thing to remember is that if that showerhead flows more water, if you do not have sewer, you may fill waste tank up faster. Just a thought.

Nice mod!

Clarkley, I'll try to remember and position the shower head all the way up and get a measurement for you. I think it would work. I'm a hair under 5'11" and it's great!

Glenn, you're right. I don't have a tub, so I don't have a tub nozzle. What does yours look like? Is there a tub spout and a hose outlet to your shower head? If so, does it have a diverter?
Also, we don't often camp where there's no sewer connections, so filling the grey tank is not usually an issue. That said, the shower head does have one of those restricter gizmos to reduce water flow. If the water pressure is low, the water only comes out of the holes near the center of the head. So far, we are happy! :mrcool: :D

Clarkley, I finally got to make the measurement yesterday. From the floor of my shower to the bottom of the shower head measured 6 feet 1 1/2 inches. My 5 feet 10 1/2 inches fits under it just fine!

So, it's not high enough for you to stand under it, but it would be a lot better than your current hookup.
