2012 Stone Mountain Park Fall Get-Together

October 19th - 21st

For reservations you have to call the campground, phone numbers are below. You have to mention "Southeastern Campers" so they will know you are with our group and put you in the right loop. We have sites 1 - 19 and 84 - 88 + 81 & 83 (motorhome site) blocked off for our group. They are giving us a $10 a night discount between the dates Oct 17th - 23rd. Lamar and Carmen have taken some pictures of the sites in our loop. If you would like to look at them the link is below.

Warning: Please be aware that you will encounter a "low clearance underpass" with a minimum clearance of 12 feet if your GPS directions route you to the "West Gate" of Stone Mountain Park via James B. River/Memorial Drive . To avoid this low clearance underpass, you should enter the Park using the "East Gate" via Exit 8 on US78.

Here is a picture of the loop we will be camping in at Stone Mountain.

This loop was under construction at the date of this picture in April 2010.

Please when making reservations tell them your with southeast campers.com. we have site they are holding for us.
they are sites 1-19 and 84-88. if you get any other site number your not with our group and will not get the discounted rate.

wait to buy park tickets when you check in. you get a buy 1 get 1 deal to the park that others cant.
also i will post the gps location soon.
when you get to the main gate they will charge you the $10.00 to get in. but its good for all week in and out of the park.

all the sites we have on hold will hold a 40'- 5th wheel or 50' motor home with no problems. the sites are very level. they are kinda close together on some. but were all family.

While we were there this weekend, not one RV had any kind of blocks for leveling in the sites we are slotted for. They are very level and flat. These are premium sites with full hookups and cable. On the map, these are the orange sites on Trail C & Trail E. The sites are usually $55/nite but we are getting a discounted rate at $45/nite.

As Lamar mentioned, if you wait and buy your park tix at the campground, they typically give you an extra day for the same price. We may want to look into some group purchase deals as well (more on that later). There will be a laser show on the lawn in front of the carving at dark so we can all go there after potluck. The laser show is free but we will need to block off an area for the group a few hours beforehand so that we will have a place to sit. This is a sit on a blanket or bring-your-own-chair event

Check out the pavillon - it is huge & will be a great place to gather. There is a big screen TV and sitting area there along with a fire pit.
