Today they will decide who has the best team in the country. Alabama or LSU. But there is one thing we already know, and that is that the SEC has owned the National Champ for the last 6 years. The SEC is the strongest and will be the strongest conference in the United States for a long time.

ROLL TIDE ROLL

Number 14 today.

Good job Alabama. Now next year why don't you schedule one against Georgia?

The only way any team can ever be great is to beat the great teams. If Georgia can't beat Alabama then they have to find a way to do so. The argument this year against Georgia was that they played a "soft" schedule. I don't agree with that. I also didn't agree with playing our first game against an out of conference powerhouse like Boise State, but it aint my call. Can Georgia beat Alabama? Right now I wouldn't put much money on it. Could they beat Alabama? There is a good possibility they could have. However, we will never know about this year. With the SEC pulling in two more teams it becomes harder and harder to scheudle against non divisional opponents. By the way, how in the world are Texas A&M and Missouri considered Southeastern?

What I wanted was for Florida to swallow it's fear and let us suck up FSU, keep Texas A&M, put them both in the West, then pull in Clemson and Virginia Tech or West Virginia and put them in the east. All of those programs act more like SEC power programs and could have created some really hot rivalries. Think about it. Clemson vs SC. Clemson vs GA. Those three teams are less than 100 miles apart and each has their own rabid fanbase. How about FSU vs Alabama or FSU vs Florida? Man, that would be fun to watch. I don't really "get" where Texas A&M gets a rivalry out of any of the existing SEC teams.

I agree Nick. Any SEC team can beat another SEC team any given Saturday. The Conference is that strong. But Missouri? I can see Texas A&M coming to the SEC better than I can see Missouri. How can they still call us the SEC with Missouri in our conference. Who decided we needed Missouri anyway. Yes, we should be looking at Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech, NC State, and UNC, but as for FSU or Miami, I do not care to have them in the SEC period. That is two teams I truly hate with a passion. FSU had a chance to join the SEC but decided we were to strong of a conference and they could not dominate us so they picked the ACC where they knew they could dominate it. Miami was just to scared to join the SEC. If you are not man enough to play the teams of the SEC then we don't want you. Period.

I am just dreaming of the Clemson, SC, UGA Triangle of Death. Those would be three energized rivals. Georgia stole two top five running backs from North Carolina as of today, including the #1 rated HS RB in the nation. Actually, despite their recent success, I still think Clemson is more of an SEC School than SC (with apologies to all our Gamecock Brothers and Sisters). Of course, SC has beaten us a few times recently so who am I to say?
