This board has been real quiet for a long time. Last Wednesday, I tripped at work and landed on my right shoulder and head. I dislocated my shoulder and have a nice black eye! I can tell you that concrete floors are quite hard! My arm is in a sling, so don't expect me to fill this board with new threads. Typing with one hand is not too easy! However, I can work my track ball and read. So, give me something to read! LOL! I see the Doctor on Monday and I guess I'll find out how long I'll be in this cast. Hope I can go camping again soon! We had plans for next weekend, but that ain't gonna happen!

Joe,
Sorry to hear about your fall, hope you get well soon. We have the camper winterized for a winter that hasn't come! Last year we had the camper covered with snow, this year, just wet. It is damp and foggy here, depressing part of winter.
Usually make a trip to Florida (Manatee Hammock) but did not go this year, combination of $ and lack of incentive.
Brian is off to college this year so it has been really quiet.
Maybe everyone prepped for winter and are waiting, I am ready for spring, or at least for the rain to stop!

Sorry to hear about the trip Joe. Hope you get better real soon. As for it being quite here, that is an understatement. I don't know where everybody is or what they are doing but they sure have not been on here. I figured since most everyone had their camper winterized they would be talking on here. The thing is, I am just as guilty as the rest of them. I don't know, I just have not been very active on the internet at all for a while.

Thanks guys. I hope I'm back to normal soon. Do you realize that this post made the 3 of us the top posters for today?!?!?! LOL!!!
Since there are a lot of campers winterized, you would expect a lot of folks to be here spending their idle time. I guess not!

We are here, Just "hibernating". :nature-smiley-12:

Wait! It is almost 80 degrees out there. Where is winter?

Hope that shoulder is OK. Cindy's dad fell and did almost the same thing and wound up having to have surgery. Seems he broke his shoulder when he thought he had just sprained it.

Say hello to Dodie for us.

Can't wait to see some of our camping buds for the little Atlanta RV Show next weekend. Wish everyone could make it.

Our first trip isn't on the calendar until the beginning of April in Carrabelle, FL - seems sooo far away! Where is everyone going this year? We are a lil' bummed that we won't be going camping Memorial weekend (family reunion thang in the mtns) and July 4th is in the middle of the week soooo that puts two long weekends out - boooo!

I have been on a long weekend since Feb 2004. :whistling: We have a trip planned in Feb down to Mobile, AL for Mardi Graus. Then nothing until April unless we go to the lake for a few days.

We spent 10 days at Silver River SP. You can kayak/canoe the river...very clear water. Water comes from underground springs that originate at Silver Springs Park, just around the corner from the state park...Silver Springs Park is a pay to enter park with glass bottomed boats, animal shows, etc. Good hiking/biking trails. Around 60 RV sites, very big rig friendly...not on top of each other...forgot to take pics...sorry. Nice bathhouses. Only downside is my small holding tanks forced the use of the bath houses...something we never do. Water & electric only at sites.

Currently at Hillsborough River SP thru the 5th. More RV sites, but closer together, all are back-in...I think. Again, only water & electricity at sites. Just got in yesterday, so haven't explored much yet. They do have a huge swimming pool, but it's closed for the season now. Will be attending a weekend square dancing event..started tonight, so will be Sunday or later before we do much else. Lazydays RV is not far away..huge RV sales/service/campground with a Cracker Barrell and Camping World on site to boot. Will be spending a day there to look at RVs and check out two other RV dealers on I-4.

That's all I got for now.

Well, that got a few of y'all talking! Thanks for the additional well wishes Kevin, Brent, Glenn and Lamar. My shoulder is doing better. I went to work Tuesday through Thursday and managed to get some work done. I can loosen my sling and type with too hands now! I just wish I could go camping. 1 1/2 weeks more with the sling and then I start physical therapy. Brent, glad to hear someone is out camping. Hope y'all continue to have a great time.
