For those of you who have camped at Ft. DeSoto, what was the cell coverage there ? We have Verizon and are using the Verizon MiFi to get internet access on this trip, since we're not staying in any private CG's and none of the state/county parks have wifi. We're at Myakka River SP now, and to be as close to Sarasota as we are, cell service is very weak and the MiFi doesn't work well much of the time...working right now though.

The couple travelling with us have AT&T and they have poor cell signal also.

Hope Ft. DeSoto has good cell signals since it's close to St. Pete and Clearwater.

Give me some good news folks.

Brent, we haven't been in a few years but I remember that we had Verizon back when we did go and had a signal but I don't remember how strong it was. Gotta luv Verizon! :)- Try calling the park office and ask them what they have maybe.

have a great time.
and try this seafood place up the road. cant remember name ( call me if you need) but they have sunset boat trips for free..

How's that for a tight fit ?

This was a sight for sore eyes after our 8 days at Myakka River State Park with virtually no cell signal and therefore no internet via the Verizon MiFi.

And here's a pic for Lemur

We also saw the space station come over the western sky tonight.

All is well.

now that's what i like to see brent. getting that camper in site only other's would pass up.
now that your set up. its one of the best places to have your camper sit on. great views each day.
sit back and RELAX..
i love the picture you took. we had many sunsets like that. have fun.
we loved bush gardens if you into that.
have fun, lamar

p.s brent . get your water hose off the ground. racoons will bite holes in it for fresh water...
someone told me to put a water bowl out for them. seems to work.

If you look at the reservation website, the photo of site 228 bears little resemblance to what I see today...wonder how old that pic is...the tree I had to dodge was not protruding into the site as it is today.

Lamar, send me your skyhook to hang my water hose from...I'm hoping we don't have any in this loop, but don't think they observe any boundaries.

Lexie's having a blast "chasing" the birds from inside the RV.

Time for more coffee.

Brent

P.S. we stayed at Hillsborough River SP in late Jan and went to Busch Gardens from there...five coasters in one day...will post pics later.

i saw where others use rope and tide it off in the trees.
