Hello Everyone,

We are a new IDOS, International Dutch Oven Society, chapter located near Charlotte, NC.
I've been busy getting our new chapter started and wanted to let ya'll know I'm alive and well.

We will be having our first Southeast Camper Dutch Oven Group Gathering at Kings Mountain State Park, SC on 4-28-2012 We have rented a shelter for our dutch oven gathering. The shelter has a fire place along with restrooms and parking. Camping is available too, I'm not sure about hook ups, etc. This will be a fun day outside cooking up some good grub.

For more information visit - http://secamper.com

If your in the area stop by and say "Hello" Guest are welcome, we look forwrd to hearing from you.

Dan

It would be interesting to see the DO masters cook. But, as the other half to Campingnut - I have to say that we have had some really good things . . . and some other 'not so good' (basically disasters) things with our experiments with the DO.

Hi Everyone,

We had our first Dutch Oven Gathering as an IDOS Chapter.

We had so much fun and the turn out was fantastic. I wish y'all could have been there.

The Park Ranger was so impress with our turn out, that they are willing to help promote us which in turn helps the park.

We had 13 cooks and 18 black pots with 25 or more with guest and visitors. I've recieved over a 100 photos from my friends at the gathering.

I've posted a few of them on our website.

Check us out Southeast Camper's - Kings Mountain Dutch Oven Gathering, there is a link to a video my buddy Josh made and a local write up.

Thank you for your support and encouragement.

Dan
